Questions regarding the wiki
If anybody has questions regarding the wiki, like the ones below, where is the place? --Manorainjan (talk) 20:12, 5 March 2017 (CET)
- It's probably best to discuss any non-trivial changes on the #sigrok IRC channel on Freenode, that's where most of the active development discussions take place. --Uwe Hermann (talk) 00:55, 7 March 2017 (CET)
I added Category:Frequency counter. A comparison list seems to be there not yet. Should I create one, or does anyone more experienced like to do it? --Manorainjan (talk) 20:12, 5 March 2017 (CET)
- I've added a basic page with the usual info, feel free to extend and add more (PC-attachable) devices, if any. --Uwe Hermann (talk) 00:55, 7 March 2017 (CET)
I tend to remove the category device from pages that belong to a more specific category as well, like multimeter or counter. But maybe someone sees a specific reason for keeping this redundancy? --Manorainjan (talk) 20:12, 5 March 2017 (CET)
- Yes, that's intentional and is done on all current pages. Please don't remove those categories. All devices should be in as many categories as required to describe all the hardware facilities (e.g. and MSO will be in the following categories: Device, Logic analyzer, Oscilloscope, Mixed-signal oscilloscope). The redundancy is not a problem, and it's intentional. --Uwe Hermann (talk) 00:55, 7 March 2017 (CET)
Broken link (Gmane)
In section "Getting in touch": the news.gmane.org link times out.
The first two worked fine.
