Communication Protocols
All Gossen Metrawatt multimeters having data communication support support unidirectional or bi-directional infrared communication through the case using proprietary communication adaptors. The METRAHit Ultra also supports Bluetooth.
Metrahit 1x Series
- The Metrahit 1x series offers unidirectional communication using proprietary protocols.
Metrahit 2x Series
The Metrahit 2x series supports unidirectional communication like the 1x series and bidirection communication using proprietary protocols.
USB X-Tra
Newer Metrahit devices use a proprietary communication protocol that is very close to SCPI.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Class 2
