The ITECH IT8511+ is a programmable DC electronic load (150W 0~30A 0~120V) with TTL (serial) connectivity.

NOTE! DB9 connector on this device is not RS-232, but non-isolated TTL-serial connection. To connect load safely to a computer, an isolated TTL to RS232/USB interface is needed.

Protocol
Early units support only proprietary binary protocol, while apparently newer units have updated firmware that supports also SCPI "style" protocol.
Protocol description is available in BK Precision User Manual (for 8500 series DC electronic loads).
