The Rigol scopes also have rather peculiar `*RST` handling, in that they reinitialize the USB stack, which may also be the case for this device.
The command tree may have implicit parts, so the full name of `AM:DEPTh` may really be `[:SOURce:]AM[:DEPTh]` -- i.e. "AM 100" is also allowed, and this explains also why in some cases the leading colon does not work.
