Description George Jakobsche 2020-12-22 20:59:35 CET
Attempting to install PulseView nightly build on December 22, 2020 throws "“PulseView” cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified."

macOS 11.1 (Big Sur)

Model Name:	iMac
  Model Identifier:	iMac20,2
Processor Name:	10-Core Intel Core i9
  Processor Speed:	3.6 GHz
  Number of Processors:	1
  Total Number of Cores:	10
L2 Cache (per Core):	256 KB
  L3 Cache:	20 MB
  Hyper-Threading Technology:	Enabled
  Memory:	40 GB
System Firmware Version:	1554.60.15.0.0 (iBridge: 18.16.13030.0.0,0)

Control-clicking on distribution kit and selecting "Open" displays "macOS cannot verify the developer of “PulseView”. Are you sure you want to open it?" as expected. However, selecting "Open" throws "PulseView cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure PulseView works with this version of macOS. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and macOS."

On same hardware and OS, PulseView 0.4.2 installs and runs OK.

Thanks,
George
