clear traces area, and obsolete values in hint text

How to reproduce: Have tested CSV file import with mixed signal data in a 
local setup. Loading the file after starting the application worked. Then 
re-loading the file by pressing Run or SPACE again fails (see bug 1241). 
The trace area gets cleared as is to be expected. But the cursor hints at 
the right hand side still display obsolete data, and that text updates when 
the cursor moves.
