Good day!
After updating the ports, I can not work with my logical analyzer.
Scanning detects my device, but does not want to work with it.
My system:
FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-p2 amd64

ugen2.2: <sigrok fx2lafw> at usbus2, cfg=0 md=HOST spd=HIGH (480Mbps) pwr=ON (100mA)
usbconfig -u 2 -a 2 dump_device_desc
ugen2.2: <sigrok fx2lafw> at usbus2, cfg=0 md=HOST spd=HIGH (480Mbps) pwr=ON (100mA)

Hi, you're now using the libsigrok 0.5.0 release it seems; this uses different fx2lafw firmware files than older releases. Are you sure you're also using the files from sigrok-firmware-fx2lafw 0.1.5?

See here for the downloads in case they're not in ports (the BSD port packages are not maintained by us, please file bugs there if needed):

I updated all the necessary ports to the current versions
Comment 3 Uwe Hermann 2017-10-26 17:42:04 CEST
It's still not working, I assume?

If so, can you please attach a "sigrok-cli --scan -l 5" output (after attaching the device to USB freshly, so that the firmware upload attempt is included). Thanks!

Also, what is "JHA"? Is that a vendor name? Where did you buy the device?
Comment 4 arken 2017-10-26 21:52:12 CEST
Good day!
I don't know about vendor. I bought on aliexpress. A year ago.

Comment 5 Uwe Hermann 2017-10-27 17:18:50 CEST
That looks good so far, the firmware is found and uploaded correctly, the --scan works fine. I would assume that actually using the device should also work.

What is the output of "sigrok-cli -d fx2lafw -c samplerate=1mhz --samples 10 -l 5"?

To me, that looks like either a damaged chip or a bad USB cable. Can you try different ones? The cables that come with the board(s) are usually very low quality.

With another cable, the situation is completely similar.

Good day!
Old version pulseview also work
Comment 16 arken 2017-12-13 12:39:08 CET
Good day!
There is news to solve this problem?
Comment 17 Soeren Apel 2017-12-13 12:50:50 CET
Unfortunately, this is very difficult to debug. The reason for this is that it's unclear whether it's a driver (libsigrok) or firmware (fx2lafw) issue. Without access to the hardware, it's very tricky. With that, I can't make any promises.
Comment 18 arken 2017-12-15 10:53:49 CET
Good day!
I understood. Do you have a memory dump of I2C EEPROM from a working USBee AX-Pro clone?
Comment 19 Uwe Hermann 2018-02-21 11:51:53 CET
Please retry current git HEAD of libsigrok, we recently fixed bug #1109 which might be a duplicate of this one.

(btw., I2C dump would not help much unfortunately)
