Newer versions of the DSLogic firmware/bitstream have changed in an incompatible manner (see bug #886). If we want to support the newer versions in sigrok, someone will have to figure out what exactly changed and how to adapt libsigrok.

This has been fixed recently in a commit series from 06/2017 that extracted the DSLogic code into a new dreamsourcelab-dslogic driver and added support for the latest upstream firmware/bitstream files and the respective protocol.
