I try to use Pulseview with a Lecroy Logicstudio16. The configuration of the device including the fw load works - THANKS TILLMAN! Now my special problem: I try to monitor a spi bus which is workin with 2 Mhz clock . Up to now it sends every millisecond a 2 byte long message. The trigger is the CS pin of the microcontroller. I set the samplerate to 8MHz (acc to. Niquist). Now if the trigger is fullfilled only a view samples (not the whole spi message) will be shown. Are there any technical restrictions or is it a real bug? I expected that at least one of such short message can be shown on PV. (If more than one message can be shown would be very much better!) A powerfull function for me would be to save these mesage to a file and the wait for the next spi message and so on... Is it possible or can somebody realize it?
My apologies, I didn't see this bug before. My assumption is that the device fills up an internal buffer once the trigger condition is met and that only this buffer is transmitted to PV. Saving those messages and waiting for the next SPI transfer is in the pipeline for PV but currently easier to do using sigrok-cli. I'll move the bug to libsigrok because the original issue of the bug report is independent of PV.
