From: Gerhard Sittig Date: Fri, 18 Oct 2019 05:48:41 +0000 (+0200) Subject: input/csv: another stab at option help texts X-Git-Url: https://sigrok.org/gitaction?a=commitdiff_plain;h=43e1e23a115e00d22d814da6a00e16015e726213;p=libsigrok.git input/csv: another stab at option help texts Try to balance a compact format and completeness/accuracy of content for builtin help texts for the CSV input module's options. Assume a technical audience (this is signal analysis software after all). Rename a few internal identifiers which help organize the list of options and their help texts. Too short names became obscure. --- diff --git a/src/input/csv.c b/src/input/csv.c index 10ddd686..ba50e2ca 100644 --- a/src/input/csv.c +++ b/src/input/csv.c @@ -1585,11 +1585,11 @@ enum option_index { OPT_SINGLE_COL, OPT_FIRST_COL, OPT_NUM_LOGIC, - OPT_FORMAT, - OPT_START, + OPT_SINGLE_FMT, + OPT_START_LINE, OPT_HEADER, - OPT_RATE, - OPT_DELIM, + OPT_SAMPLERATE, + OPT_COL_SEP, OPT_COMMENT, OPT_MAX, }; @@ -1597,30 +1597,30 @@ enum option_index { static struct sr_option options[] = { [OPT_COL_FMTS] = { "column_formats", "Column format specs", - "Specifies text columns data types: A comma separated list of [][] items, with - to ignore columns, x/o/b/l for logic data, a (and resolution) for analog data, t for timestamps.", + "Text columns data types.
