Screenshot showing the missing icons

On the latest Raspberry Pi OS (full) (from 2021-01-11) I installed pulseview on a Raspberry Pi 4 2GB by compiling all components manually.
Some of the icons in pulseview are not showing up, as visible in the screenshot.
The following icons are affected:
- new session
- open file
- save file
I installed all dependencies as in the documentation
I notice that all the affected icons are pngs.
On startup I get the following message:
'
qt5ct: using qt5ct plugin
palette support is disabled
libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
'

The libpng version is 1.6.36. On another linux system (not raspberry) with the same libpng version all icons show up.

I searched the buglist but did not find any related bug
