It would be nice if PulseView would allow the user to decode (with some given PD or PD-stack and specified probes + options for that PD or PD-stack) a certain user-selected area of the "full" data being shown in the GUI.

One way to implement that, is allowing the user to use two markers (the existing ones, or different/new ones) to select an area, upon which the PD/PD-stack will be fed only the data from that area (not the whole dataset).

There are various interesting and useful use-cases for this kind of feature, it is specifically not just meant as a performance-improving mechanism.
